Factual information on integrated plant protection is a document from the DEULA (German Institute for Agricultural Engineering) for proof or certification of the knowledge required for the use of plant protection products. Mandatory in Germany for everyone who handles pesticides.

Integrated plant protection is a combination of measures in which the use of chemical plant protection products is limited to what is necessary.

Integrated pest management includes the following measures, for example:

- the choice of site-appropriate crops

- the choice of less susceptible or resistant varieties

- Conservation and promotion of beneficial animals

- Attention to the warning service, careful observation, fertilization and care of the plant population

- Targeted plant protection measures

Integrated crop protection does not mean doing without chemical crop protection products entirely.
